TRAIN UP A CHILD IN A WAY THEY SHOULD GO

As a mother, we know that our first ministry is at home with our families before we pour ourselves out to the rest of the world. We are to keep in mind that though the Lord has blessed us with the fruit of the womb, it’s not to be taken for granted neither should we feel entitled. We rather look at the blessing of the lovely children the Lord has blessed us with as stewardship. It’s our responsibility to nurture and groom our children into the next future generation while instilling morals and Godly values in them.

Proverbs 22:6  Train up a child in the way he should go [teaching him to seek God’s wisdom and will for his abilities and talents], Even when he is old he will not depart from it.

We know the popular phrase "Charity begins at home but never ends there" suggests that one should prioritize helping and supporting their own family and immediate community before extending aid to others. It’s important to instill values of hard work and teach our children to be responsible and their utmost best before we present them to the world as a foundation for broader acts of kindness and generosity.

At Charismoms I created fridge chore charts that have helped a great deal in my household. I lay out chores or what’s to be done for my son and each day that he fulfills a task written down, it’s checked off and fosters accomplishment. This helps his subconscious brain master the essence of hard work and take on every task not as chore but rather taking on responsibilities that are vital for his growth. Afterall, I am raising somebody’s future husband and father. Chore charts are only some of the items that teach responsibility and hard work at an early on age so mothers grab one for your little ones and make it a fun experience.
